How to Apply
Our application process is straightforward. Follow these six steps carefully to secure your place at Thal University Bhakkar.
Check Eligibility
Confirm you meet the minimum academic requirements — FSc / FA / ICS / ICom with at least 45% marks, or A-Level equivalent recognised by IBCC. Graduate applicants (MBA, MEd) need a relevant bachelor's degree with second division minimum. Mature entry and special quotas may have different criteria — contact admissions for details.
Complete Online Form
Fill the online application at tub.edu.pk/admissions/apply. Provide accurate personal, academic, and contact details. Double-check your CNIC number and marks before submitting. You will receive an auto-generated reference number by email upon successful submission — save it for all future correspondence.
Pay Processing Fee — PKR 500
Deposit PKR 500 as a non-refundable processing fee at any branch of HBL or UBL using the challan generated on your application portal. The challan expires in 48 hours. Keep the original bank-stamped receipt — a clear scan will be required at document submission.
Submit Documents
Upload high-quality scanned copies of your CNIC (or Form-B if under 18), attested Matric and Intermediate certificates with detailed marks sheets, Punjab domicile certificate, character certificate from your last institution, and four recent passport-size photographs with a blue background. Incomplete applications will not be processed.
Appear on Merit List
Merit lists are compiled on the basis of Inter / A-Level marks and published at tub.edu.pk/admissions/status. The first merit list will appear on September 15, 2025. Subsequent merit lists may be issued if seats remain vacant after each confirmation round. You will receive an SMS notification if you appear on any list.
Report to Admissions Office
If your name appears on a merit list, report in person to the Admissions Office, Main Campus, University Road, Bhakkar within 7 working days with all original documents. Failure to report within the deadline will result in forfeiture of your seat. Pay the first-semester fee to complete enrollment.

Eligibility Criteria by Program
Minimum qualifications are set by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan and are strictly enforced during merit compilation.

- ✓HBL / UBL bank challan receipt for PKR 500 processing fee — original bank stamp required
- ✓Migration certificate — required if your board of examination is outside Punjab
- ✓Hafiz-e-Quran certificate — if applying under Hafiz quota (special seats available)
- ✓Disability certificate from NADRA or relevant authority — if applying under special persons quota

Can students from outside Punjab apply to TUB?
Yes. Thal University Bhakkar warmly welcomes applications from all provinces of Pakistan. Open-merit seats are available to all Pakistani nationals regardless of domicile. However, provincial quota seats may be prioritised for applicants holding a Punjab domicile. Please contact the admissions office to confirm seat availability for your category.
Is hostel accommodation available for students?
Yes. TUB operates a dedicated male students' hostel on campus with a capacity of 200 beds. Allocation is on a first-come, first-served basis after admission confirmation and is subject to availability. Female students from out-of-city areas are encouraged to explore off-campus accommodation arrangements; the university can provide a list of approved guest houses. What is the medium of instruction at TUB?
The primary medium of instruction is English for all science, technology, and management programs including BS Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, BBA, MBA, and all natural science programs. Urdu is used alongside English in humanities and social science programs such as BS Urdu, Pakistan Studies, and Islamic Studies. All official communications and examinations follow the same medium.
Are there scholarships or financial support options available?
Yes. TUB offers both merit-based and need-based financial assistance. The Girls' Scholarship Program provides 200 fully-funded seats each year for female students from low-income families in the Thal region. HEC need-based scholarships are also available through the Higher Education Commission portal. Additionally, top-performing students from each department may receive a 25% fee waiver for subsequent semesters. Contact financial.aid@tub.edu.pk for complete details.
What happens if I miss the merit list confirmation deadline?
If you do not report to the Admissions Office and submit your fee within 7 working days of your merit list being published, your seat will be automatically forfeited and offered to the next candidate on the waiting list. In exceptional circumstances such as medical emergencies, you may submit a written appeal to the Director of Admissions within the same 7-day window. The University does not guarantee reinstatement of forfeited seats under any circumstances beyond approved appeals.
